San Diego Photographer Mini Session, Family Photos in La Jolla

Some of the most memorable sessions happen when multiple generations come together. This beautiful extended family included three generations in one relaxed San Diego mini session. Even better: this isn’t my first time photographing them! I photographed Kat and Jonathan’s engagement photos, wedding, and newborn photos when Baby S was born as well as Jonathan’s sister Samantha’s baby shower alongside her partner, Henny.

We met at a stunning eucalyptus grove in La Jolla. In the afternoon, the light filters through the tall trees, creating a golden glow that feels magical. This time of day is especially wonderful for families with young children because it works with nap and sleep schedules while giving us that dreamy sunset light.

During the session, we captured playful moments with the Baby S, sweet couple portraits, and group photos with everyone together. The towering eucalyptus trees created a natural, serene backdrop, perfect for timeless family photos.

If you’re looking for a San Diego photographer mini session, places like this eucalyptus grove offer a unique and peaceful setting. My mini sessions are designed to be quick, stress-free, and full of natural moments — perfect for families, couples, or even extended families wanting beautiful photos without a full-day shoot.

San Diego Mini Session Family Photos at Balboa Park

There’s something magical about mornings at Balboa Park: the soft light, the peaceful walkways, and the sense of having the space all to yourself. That’s exactly what made this family’s San Diego mini session so special.

This sweet family of four — mom, dad, and their two young daughters — met me at Alcazar Garden early in the morning. The colorful tiles, lush greenery, and quiet pathways were the perfect backdrop for their photos. With almost no one around, we were able to capture candid moments, giggles, and hugs without any distractions.

Morning mini sessions are ideal for families with small kids. Little ones are often happier earlier in the day, and the soft morning light makes everyone look their best. Plus, fewer crowds mean more space to explore, play, and create natural, relaxed photos.

If you’re looking for a San Diego photographer mini session, Balboa Park offers endless beauty: from its historic gardens to its hidden pathways. My mini sessions are designed to be short, stress-free, and full of real moments. Whether you’re celebrating a milestone or simply want updated family photos, a San Diego mini session is the perfect way to capture your story.

San Diego Mini Session: Engagement Photos at Balboa Park, Summer and Avery

Summer and Avery met online and quickly discovered they had mutual friends, a fun twist that started their love story. Now engaged and counting down the days before their wedding, they wanted engagement photos that felt easy, relaxed, and romantic. A San Diego mini session was the perfect way to make it happen.

We met at Balboa Park, one of San Diego’s most iconic photo spots. Alcazar Garden, with its colorful flowers, lush pathways, and the California Tower peeking through the trees, gave us endless photo opportunities.

If you’re looking for a San Diego photographer mini session, Balboa Park is one of my favorite spots. It’s beautiful year-round and ideal for engagements, anniversaries, or updated portraits — perfect if you’re short on time but still want stunning images.
