San Diego Courthouse Wedding Photographer: Evelyn and Kaleb

The indoor ceremony space at the San Diego County Administration Center is a natural light filled room and great for a courthouse wedding in San Diego. With its historic architecture, soft indoor light, and sweeping harbor views just outside, it’s a perfect location for couples planning an intimate civil ceremony. As a San Diego courthouse wedding photographer, I often photograph ceremonies here for couples who want something simple, timeless, and meaningful, and when they don't have any guests, I'm happy to serve as their witness!

Evelyn and Kaleb couple chose to keep their wedding day incredibly intimate with no guests, just the two of them exchanging vows inside the ceremony room before stepping outside for portraits around the iconic white arches and waterfront pathways surrounding the building.

San Diego Courthouse Wedding: Paige and Patrick

Paige and Patrick celebrated their wedding with an intimate courthouse ceremony at the beautiful San Diego County Administration Center in San Diego. Pre ceremony, Paige and Patrick shared a quiet First Look, taking a private moment together before officially saying “I do.”

After a quick check in with the clerk's office, it was ceremony time where their nieces and nephews greeted them with big hugs, creating one of the sweetest moments of the day. The excitement and support from their families made the courthouse ceremony feel incredibly warm and personal.

After their vows, it was time for sunset portraits at the newly renovated ceremony site at the San Diego County Administration Center. With its stunning architecture, open courtyards, and views of the harbor, the location provided the perfect backdrop for their wedding photos. This San Diego courthouse wedding was amazing!

San Diego Courthouse Wedding: Karen and Oli

In today’s world of online dating, it's not uncommon to meet someone when you least expect it. For Karen and Oli, fate intervened in a unique way when they met on Bumble just 8 days before Oli was about to move across the pond, back to the UK. Granted, he'd lived in the DC area for a few years at this point, as had Karen, but they'd never crossed paths or matched until now.

Their transoceanic love story eventually led them to a beautiful San Diego courthouse wedding with both of their families in attendance. Karen, a San Diego native, and Oli married here to allow both of Karen's grandmothers to be their marriage witnesses, and playing homage to her grandfathers, Karen's bouquet was adorned with lockets with their photos in them.

Karen and Oli, thank you for allowing me to capture your wedding! Felicidades!

Sunset Cliffs Engagement Session: Eve and Matt

Matt sought a partner with TSA pre check and the ability to ski. Eve? She wanted a feminist partner who would embrace her Queer community. Matt fit the bill, and Eve needed ski lessons and pushed back on that extra security clearance.

The good news: sparks flew during their first date picnic at Balboa Park, right next to the Rose Garden. A Hinge match, Matt kissed Eve within the hour of meeting each other for the first time and launched their love story.

Since being with Matt. doesn't have to take her shoes off at the airport ha! What each also found after that romantic first date was a true, deep love and a lot of fun which we had at their Sunset Cliffs engagement session.

And speaking of shoes, Eve brought her pair of heeled Dr. Martens 'just in case' we had time to photograph her in them and of course I made time! Anything that is special to someone should be included in photos.
