San Diego Courthouse Wedding: Lindsey and Tyler

San Diego Courthouse Wedding: Lindsey and Tyler

Lindsey and Tyler would bring together their families for a San Diego courthouse wedding and burgers and beers later in Ocean Beach, BUT they needed to make a stop at Sunset Cliffs for their wedding portraits. Sunset Cliffs is where these two call home and it meant a lot to them to be able to capture their love with their home as the backdrop. A few details I loved about their day: Lindsey's wedding dress - gorgeous and perfect to twirl in - and a pin Tyler wore of a photo of his parents, who are longer with us. A very special way to include and recognize them on their wedding day. Congratulations, Lindsey and Tyler!

Windnsea Engagement Photos: Nicole and Brian

Each in Nashville with their individual group of friends and each from a different part of the country, Nicole and Brian happened to meet in the Music City. What started off as a Nashville bar meet cute turned into falling in love, becoming engaged, and now living in Brian's hometown of San Diego. Nicole and Brian wanted engagement photos that would incorporate land and sea: with the first part of their engagement session in La Jolla with their gorgeous dog, Lola, we moved over to Windnsea Beach for the second part of their playful and romantic engagement session. I don't know what else says 'so in love' than kisses on the beach when the waves are crashing! Was this a movie?! Nicole and Brian, you two are absolute naturals in front the camera!

Sunset Cliffs Proposal: Leslie and Danny

Sunset Cliffs Proposal: Leslie and Danny

All previous proposals I've photographed in San Diego have been a surprise where one party doesn't know the proposal is going to occur: it's a surprise! To MY surprise, Leslie reached out to me to have her proposal photographed at Sunset Cliffs. Her and her about-to-be fiance Danny had extensively talked about getting engaged and the proposal: they'd agreed they wanted to get engaged in San Diego, Danny's hometown, and they wanted it near the water. While I love capturing a surprised reaction, I admire that this was a joint effort. Marriage takes two, right?

Even though Leslie knew that Danny would be getting down on one knee, her reaction and joy were everything! The girl was finally engaged to the man she loves and finally wearing her engagement ring of her dreams. Who doesn't love a Sunset Cliffs proposal!?

Congratulations, Leslie and Danny!

San Diego Courthouse Wedding: Gabby and Vic

Sometimes you meet someone and their name doesn’t stick: “I thought his name was Mic for 6 months,” Gabby told me about her husband to be, Vic. These two met out and about in Dallas and connected months later, and now as San Diego residents, decided to marry at the San Diego Administration Building before having a larger, destination wedding later.

On the day of their San Diego courthouse wedding, Gabby’s long skirt with the perfect slit and cut outs in her top defined ‘courthouse chic.’ With a gorgeous bouquet from Third Bloom* in hand, her and Vic, with his gorgeous smile, wed, concluding their ceremony with a perfect dip. Congratulations, Gabby and Vic!

*Third Bloom is now Lollia Bloom, which is owned by my former bride, Lori! Small world!
